Located in Laem Sing district, a small quiet coastal area famed more for history and nature, the resort sits directly on the estuary where Chanthaburi River meets Gulf of Thailand. The place is well known for its ecosystem; Mangrove forests surround you here which seem to be teeming with life. In the evenings a boat can be taken from just about at this same pier of resort to witness thousands fireflies lighting up trees - magical natural phenomenon that has become signature for this province. Day times could also be spent watching Red hawks(Brahminy kites) swoop down catching fish- an action created by some boatmen throwing food into water.

Technically, it is correct to say that the resort shall be described as being on a river or estuary front and not at some white sandy beach, since this "beach" here turns out most of the time to be either mud or rocks depending on the tide. However, real Chao Lao Beach is just about fifteen-twenty minutes drive away; there one can find fine sand with calm waters perfect for a swimming day trip. The resort also happens to be very near Oasis Sea World where dolphin shows are performed besides Taksin Maharat Shrine-a historical site related to King Taksin the Great who must have gathered his army in Chanthaburi.

Fishing villages and fruit orchards share the immediate neighborhood. Chanthaburi is the "Fruit Capital of Thailand," famous for durian, mangosteen, and rambutan. Depending on the season (almost always May-June), roads around the resort are lined with stalls selling these fruits at insanely low prices per kilo. There are no shopping malls or strips of nightlife here. The entertainment is totally focused on nature, food, and the resort's own facilities. This is a place to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of the river, punctuated by the occasional sound of a fishing boat engine.
